Description
[link]Some of the comments are pretty funny XD
"Why would they put a school bus in space? That's just silly... "
"Lordy, the way my week has been going, I better invest in a steel umbrella. Ok NASA, make my day. "
"Maybe the prelude of that Canadian/AΒmerican war we always feared? Ah, nah... our nephews to the other side of the border know not to mess up with big Uncle Sam! We will just throw a few green backs at 'em in case of personal injury, death or property damage and call 'em casualties or collateral damage of our pursuit of global empire and dominationΒ." (this is what sparked the idea for the comic. Don't underestimate Canada, it will be your down-fall)
Honesty to goodness what the fuck is up with your government? D8<
The money thing is srs too. There are American people who have dual citizen-ship and while they're living in Canada and working here, earning our money, and living under our government the US government takes it away from them. I don't feel like typing down all the details so it cut it short. They're stealing peoples money more than likely because of the governments own fucking debt and it's dusgusting. Not only that, but Canada's government is refusing to give up the records or whatever of those who have dual citizenship so that they can keep their money to help these people out. The American government doesn't like this at all.

I thought they didn't know where it was going to land yet...
It's not like they planned to drop the satellite on another country though! >.>
Anyways, this is cute I love Kuma!

They have a good idea as to where it's going to hit
either somewhere in the ocean or possibly the Canadian shield.
Well, no, but you don't see these things landing back in their country of origin.
kuma loves you too XD i just like the thought of his being a troll lol

many duel citizens even living away in canada are allowed the rights of an american including to vote. Duel citizens could help vote the dumbasses out and vote someone in who would cut foreign spending(not just the dummies trying to pull it all under control by minor cuts to local spending >>) before taxing citizens living in foreign countries, very few people bother to vote while outside the country though.
ALL governments have problems, and if the citizens even while living away can try to help fix the ones that affect them and dont then I dont see any reason to feel sorry for them or be angry for them when they get screwed.
(the ones that cant vote or do vote and get screwed, its a different story.)
i should probably not get into it too much @_@
xDsorry for the rant though, this kind of thing tends to piss me off for some reason and im not sure why. >.<;
The comic is really cute i think people freak out about it too much, a lot like al they keep saying it has that 1 in 3200 chance as though its chance of hitting you, one news story i say said your more likely to be hit by debris than being in a car accident. they dont seem to understand nasa is saying OVERALL chance of hitting anyone on the planet. xD im kind of hoping it lands near me(not on anyone) and i can go see whatever crater it makes. At the moment it can apparently land anywhere even outside of north america
its said in the article most likely hit the ocean, poor fish.

It'a alright I understand lol. I just find it wrong that if people who have dual citizenship earn money in one of the countries and have it all taken away from them from the other country. From my point of view they should be able to keep the money that they earn from either country separate. That way they have something to hold onto and are able to provide for themselves and their family if the other country is in debt.
Thank you! XD
Well, what really pisses me off about this is that it seems as though everyone is thinking it is okay to drop their stuff on other countries. This'll be the second time that Canada will have had a satelite dropped on it, with the possibity of the contents being toxic and harming both our enviroment and populus, which cannot be fixed with money. Not only that, but like you said 'poor fish' - the underwater eco-system will be taking yet another hard hit if if lands in the water if the contents of this satelite turn out to be toxic and it could destroy reefs and other places of inhabitance for fish and the like upon impact. And then you have animals that will eat that tainted fish. Then what happens?

it probably wont hit canada either, at the moment no one knows where that site did make it seem like it was heading straight for canada xD, but from most articles and nasas website its still completely unknown, maybe its because its a HP-canada so maybe its focusing more on canada xD?
and yeah, another piece of toxic junk is the last thing our oceans need. with big oil spills in recent years, toxic waste STILL spilling into the ocean from the quake in january, reef-killing sunblocks from beaches across the world and just random crap people toss away, stuff from space just adds more fuel to the fire.
whats really gross though, have you ever seen the pictures/recreations of the space trash orbiting the earth? its the earth with thousands of specs around it representing trash. some of it is from past space missions from countries around the world, but a lot is satalite or satalite pieces from when two satelites crash together and when china blew up some of their older ones. they say theres so much its actually dangerous for astronauts. that junk falls all the time but usually its much smaller by the time it hits(some is big enough to kill but usually doesnt do much damage or kill.) Nasa is aparently working on ways to clean some up but when you first see it, its like we are running out of space on earth to polute, so lets polute orbit. x_x

Maybe, maybe not. We'll find out what happens on Friday lol
It's just wrong and disgusting what we do to this planet :C
I think if they can, they should try and capture the satelite.
Because if they blow it up whatever toxic crap is in it will great spread all over the place.
Yeah, it's friggin nasty.

Well, that's kinda the way things work. You work hard for something and it's taken from you.
However, as bad as it is, if these people are dual citizen, there's not much they can do. Even if these people are living in Canada, they still have American citizenship and the government is allowed to go after them as much as they are people who aren't dual.
My stepfather's dual citizen and that's just the way things work, sadly. It's kind of pathetic. Although with their debt, I can't say I blame them -even if it is wrong.
Anyways, this comic made me lol. Particularly when he was yelling at the tv.

The Canadian government is going to do something about this, though.
They earned that money here under our government so the US should have no say in it.
Their debt is their own fault and they should find a different and better way to get rid of it instead of leaching off of other countries
-And thank you!
Andanism In reply to BreathlessWind [2011-09-21 03:19:06 +0000 UTC]
It is their fault and like I said it isn't fair because they're living in Canada under our government, but...they are legally US citizens as well so for the time being, they have every right to do that. I can't say Canada would be any different if we needed the money that badly. You do what you have to do, even if it isn't fair, and the sooner it's paid off, the better.
I've actually heard that they're considering selling Alaska to pay some of it off. I honestly find that kinda funny though, since they'd be going back to the flag they used when Alaska became a state.
And you're welcome xD
