Update This was surprising to me how much a small change to Exposure and recovery as well as some sharpening,can make such a dramatic differenceThis is an iconic Fall shot from Moncton NB

if i am not mistaken,
it it the moment of the day you took the pictures differently,
the best time is just after sunrise, yes yes stay up early, and
the last hour before the sun goes down, sunset, that makes it more orangy etc etc,
but you only have two weeks before the leafs goes down,
anyway, it stay a fantastic picture,

try to shoot when the sun stands very low, during rising you make the serie shots,
put the cam on -1 and +1, see the difference at home when compare,
you will be amazed how the sky changes in those modes,
succes and most of all have fun
