Description
Practicing matte painting/backgrounds. I had a lady and lion in the picture but I didn't paint them too well so the went away :/I wanted something that felt welcoming...like the smell of fresh baked cookies or a pet being greeting you at the door. It is said that home is where the heart is.

This is beautiful exceptional work! But . . . I must admit, the first thing that came to my mind was no warm and cosy . . . but dark and spooky. Which isn't really a bad thing except that was obviously not your goal. . . . Maybe if you put a vase of flowers on the table? . . . I don't know . . . it just seems too bare to be cosy. Great work though! It made me think of a mystery book I read when I was 13.

I appreciate the detail that is found swirling amidst the column, and along the stairs... The effect that you were looking for seems to have been achieved... However, there seems to be no strong central focus, unless the stairs are to be the focus?

Thanks, I agree isn't strong central focus much of it pointing at the stairs. There use to be a person and lion in the picture but I didn't paint them too well so they are not there
