Description
Some time had passed since the Renegades failed attempt to infiltrate Canterlot Palace. Hard Hoof, Albion and Ebony Moon had been on the look out for a traitor hiding among their ranks. Soon Hard Hoof was about to attend his shift early when he saw the Pegasus Royal Guard named Aaron holding a renegade com device and he seemed upset as he spoke into it.Aaron: Come on. I did what you asked. Now please let my wife go. She's pregnant for Celestia's sake.
Hard Hoof felt sympathy for Aaron, realising from the discussion he was having with some renegade that he was being blackmailed for the sake of his wife and unborn child. Hard Hoof could only imagine how he would feel if the same thing happened to his own pregnant wife. He waited until Aaron switched off the com device before speaking to him.
Hard Hoof: Lets talk Aaron.
Aaron: Hard Hoof? How much did you hear?
Hard Hoof: I heard enough to know you're being blackmailed. Tell me everything and I promise that I will help you save your wife.
Aaron: I can't do that. He will..... kill me and them.
Hard Hoof: Not if we work together. Just trust me.
Aaron: Alright.
Despite his words Aaron pulled out his spear and tried to stab Hard Hoof with it, but Hard Hoof dodged it and jumped back.
Hard Hoof: I don't wanna hurt you Aaron.
Aaron: Don't worry Hard Hoof. You won't.
Aaron then flew out of the castle window and Hard Hoof chased him outside of the palace. Hard Hoof then grabbed Aaron's hind legs and started pulling him to the ground.
Hard Hoof: I can help you Aaron. Just trust me.
Aaron: NO! YOU CAN'T STOP HIM! NONE OF US CAN!
Aaron flapped his wings as fast as he could, lifting himself and Hard Hoof into the sky, but Hard Hoof hit his wings, which caused Aaron to lose control and fell crashing to the ground. Hard Hoof had fallen off of him before the crash and as Aaron got back up on his hooves he looked around and felt relaxed.
Aaron: Phew I lost him.
Suddenly Hard Hoof jumped out of some bushes and pinned Aaron to the ground.
Hard Hoof: Listen to me. We can stop the traitor and save your family Aaron.
Aaron wasn't listening and continued to resist Hard Hoof.
Hard Hoof: Please, let me help you.
Aaron flapped his injured wing, causing dust to fly into Hard Hoof's face, blinding him and causing him to get off of Aaron, but as soon as Aaron got back up, Hard Hoof knocked him out with a single powerful punch to the face. He picked up Aaron and carried him on his back, taking him to Captain Hellfire.
Hard Hoof: Captain Hellfire I found this traitor.
Captain Hellfire: Well done Hard Hoof my boy. I knew you would prove yourself worthy someday.
Hard Hoof: Yeah, but I'm afraid he's not the only one.
Captain Hellfire: What do you mean?
Hard Hoof: Some renegades have his wife and have been blackmailing him. They must still be here somewhere in the palace.
Captain Hellfire: My my. You have done well Hard Hoof, but you've discovered too much.
Hard Hoof was confused by Captain Hellfire's words until Captain Hellfire delivered a powerful punch to Hard Hoof's chest, knocking him out.
