Ember is a curious and intuitive Auracorn who has a genuine interest in the world, albiet a bit cynical. He has an interesting view of the world as he sees it like he's an outsider trying to become part of the general scheme of life. He asks questions, seeking answers sometimes for things that don't have them, and wanders in an attempt to find his place.
Sometimes, Em can feel out-of-place, and views himself as less than others or in a way that isn't the same as everyone else. He's also weak-willed, often finding himself in situations where people use him and his powers for their own gain. He attaches himself to others easily, and feels incredibly hurt when he's rejected. In an attempt to stop himself from becoming attached to people, he pushes others away at the same time. He's confused, and doesn't know how to feel about people in general. He gets quiet when he's upset, angry, or sad, and withdraws for a while until he feels better.
He has a bit of a bleeding heart, as he learns to be his own person, he wants to help others. He gives everyone a chance unless he gets a negative vibe from them immediately, but his wary is easily dissuaded if he's proven wrong. He's open to hearing others' stories and is an incredibly good listener.

Born from magic, Ember's life didn't begin when he was born. His creator, Cinders , and his mentor made him in an experiment of bringing ashes to life in the likeness of an Auracorn. He was created to follow orders, a minion without a will of his own. His body was repaired and rebuilt many times, and when Enmu left Cinders on his own Ember's entire purpose was to follow Cin's malicious will.
Cinders took a lot of his anger out on Ember, since he never thought of Ember as a real person. Some part of him related Em's being to Enmu, and his anger that his mentor left him alone caused him to lash out. Ember had no voice, could not feel pain, and had no thoughts of his own.
Until someone gave him a name.
Out and about in a castle town, Cin was scouting to find new spellbooks in a marketplace when a fencer Auracorn named Adryan attempted conversation with his minion. Obtaining little response from him, he asked Cinders what his name was thinking he was just shy, in which he curtly replied that he didn't have one. Adryan laughed, and said "Fine. Your name's Ember, now."
Cinders shooed Adryan away and left the market, and it wasn't long before he saw a change in his minion. Ember began to observe his actions with curiosity, sometimes watching over his shoulders or looking over objects before handing them off. He disregarded a lot of his actions, until Ember one day corrected him when he misspoke a spell.
That changed things.
Cin wasn't sure at all how to react at first. Ember had only just began to speak, so it couldn't mean too much. He was developing thought processes, making decisions. That couldn't mean much, right? Cinders tried to continue his life as he had before, but one day began to ask him questions. He refused to answer the creation.
Ember began to develop his own personality. He didn't understand why Cinders was so mean, compared to the rest of the world who seemed to treat him much better. With Cinders occupied with some study, Ember left to observe the world on his own. He found much wonder in cities and towns. He loved to watch people, ask questions. He had varying results from person to person, and he must have been gone for hours before Cinders had found him curiously observing the streets.
Cinders immediately grabbed him and yanked him all the way back to his cabin. Ember cried out in pain, especially when he was thrown to the ground, and cowered when the taller Auracorn raised a hand to strike him. Cinders stopped himself, seeing his creation cower in fear of being struck. He dropped his hands and told him to get lost.
Running away, Ember wasn't actually sure what to do with himself. He wandered for a long time, and realized this was his life now. He took stride in this and took it as a lesson on how to be a person.
Nowadays he's a little more cynical of the world. After wandering and seeing what the world was like, he's slowly developed his own personality. He wants to someday consider himself a real person, but it will take a lot of convincing.

It took me some time to get him, since he was via art trade and money. xD I had to finish my end first! I'm very happy with how he turned out.
I tried rly hard not to make his bio super sad lmao
