Zephyr is a man who has been through hell and back, developing a technology to repair his broken body. Because of his genius, he was taken in by a weapons development company whose CEO is very interested in his genius and technical prowess. Also, they're dating.
I fell madly in love with Blade from Honkai because he reminded me of Marufuji Ryo from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX so I made a character that smashes them together, as I do when I have a blorbo
I borrowed design elements from both and created my own version, with headcanons and AU stuff I've developed for Ryo over time.
The mechanical elements are borrowed from various Cyber Dragons, especially Nova and Infinity. The mechanical spine holds his core, but his ring still originates from where the core used to be.
