'fraid so, for at the moment it lost its charme *s*
doesn't mean I don't follow what's going on with the people I know, though

That's gotta be a conspiracy, one of my former rp fellows tries to do the same!

I thought the hobby was off pretty well with the young blood *L*

Have you gamed with many younger folks lately? LOL

brokenangel In reply to blackwatch [2006-09-13 09:13:31 +0000 UTC]

I used to rp with younger folks (well, they're older themselves by now *L*), I just keep watching them lately, can't bring myself to dive into their idea of rp sex and crime drama *L*

Depending on the definition of the term, I'm actually happy with a little dose of adult themes in my RP. Now, if by that you mean gratuitous sex, then thank you no. But if you define it as a little darker and grittier, then by all means yes. One of my favorite games to date was a mafia game I played in (using White Wolf's system but without the supernatural).

Oh, don't get me wrong, a little bit of sex in rp isn't that bad - if it fits into the context. But if a rp degenerates into one big fuck fest and the rp itself falls aside, that's where I have to pass

This happened at a table top session?

brokenangel In reply to blackwatch [2006-09-27 09:16:25 +0000 UTC]

*L* no...online roleplay in a chat room. my table top sessions were all funny and very very "clean"

blackwatch In reply to brokenangel [2006-09-27 11:51:20 +0000 UTC]

OK, just checking! LOL
Yeah, my wife and I stopped playing on line because of that very reason: ten minute sof shabby RP that was semi prefunctory to some twit expecting cyber.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

brokenangel In reply to blackwatch [2006-10-16 07:09:21 +0000 UTC]

*tips hat* exactly *LOL*

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

blackwatch In reply to brokenangel [2006-10-16 13:31:33 +0000 UTC]

Though, I guess in fairness I should admit that I meet my wife playing on line: though cyber was rarely something we engaged in.

brokenangel In reply to blackwatch [2006-11-14 10:35:47 +0000 UTC]

I've met a handful of very good friends online, some of them got married, too, so I guess it can work out well But nowadays I guess I'm too old - or the others are too young, their RP isn't mine anymore *L*

blackwatch In reply to brokenangel [2006-11-14 13:29:30 +0000 UTC]

I never have a hard time finding gamers my age on-line. I just have trouble finding gamers on line that aren't either looking for an excuse to cyber or trying to find someone to spend a 'lost weekend' with. All in all pretty creepy!

We have a pretty solid group of table top players now. Everyone 'responsible adults' even if they aren't grown ups!

OK, on another note, what's the deal with these poser programs? I've seen them for years and never understood them. I've been a SIMS2 and Movies addict for years now and I've considered trying to learn how to make skins. It seems most skinners use poser. Not sure why.

For a split second, when seeing the title, I thought it was Raven Belladonna...I supose it isn't She could've been, though. Wonderfull pic

*L* Sorry, no, not Raven.
Shades of Night Van'Yer (and a flock of other names that escaped me at the moment)

Don't be sorry, just start on her

Also, nice name Any special meaning to it?

brokenangel In reply to Hellwolve [2006-08-28 14:17:26 +0000 UTC]

Will do, this year I promise!

*L* Yep. Shades of Night because Nightshade that time was taken, Van'Yer because she got herself a romany sister, and the other names more or less by marriage and adoption *LOL*

Hellwolve In reply to brokenangel [2006-09-10 16:56:39 +0000 UTC]

In the dark shadows behind Ange, an unclear shape suddenly became more clear, as if someone had found the figure's 'opacity' setting. It was an gentlemen of about 30 or 40, but it was quite hard to tell how old this...person actually was; he had an quaint air around him of being much, much older than was aparant on first sight: his eyes had a strange glow in them and he had an all-knowing smile, which he smiled in such a way that one would he think he did, actually, knew everything. He wore an ensemble that seemed to belong in England's Victorian age: a bowler hat, an overcoat and a simple, but high quality cane. And, rather than looking as if it was an imitation, it looked like it was actually from the Victorian age: a few hundred years old. Just like the man himself...All in all, there were plenty of signs this one was a Nosferatu, a Vampire.

Smiling at Ange's back, he walked around her and stood next to Hellwolve, after which he made an old-fashioned, courteous bow. After righting himself, he made a quaint little dance and addressed Ange.

"Please allow me to introduce myself.
I'm a man of wealth and taste.
I've been around for a long, long year, ancient as a tome on a forgotten shelf.
Studied many a man’s vice and faith and all what humanity has faced.

Though I was not around when Jesus Christ had his moment of doubt and pain,
I can assure you I have seen many come and go to and from this domain.
Pleased to meet you, I hope you don’t have to guess my name.

If what’s puzzling you, is the nature of my game, I’ll make it plain.

I am a Vampire, and like most, I was human once.

The actually story starts with the acquisition of Dr. Fausten’s journal.
I was, and am, a collector of old tomes, and I shall be so eternal.
For me, this was a great chance:
This man, alchemist and necromancer, made life itself dance.
His whole life unrolled for me, to scrutinize and to study, his live, his love, his romance...

All of it, and more.
His grizzly experiments, displaying knowledge forbidden to Kine.
And a final note: "I will go where no man has gone before."
This was my doom, my failure: I thought his knowledge could become mine.
I became entranced, intrigued.
I followed his every step, until I was a wreck, heavily fatigued.

But I had success, tracked him down, pulled his life through the misty veil of time.
And it seemed, his last moments were in a forest, reciting a strange rhyme...

"In the beginning there was only Caine.
Caine who murdered his brother out of anger.
Caine who was cast out.
Caine who was cursed forever with immortality.
Caine who was cursed with the lust for blood.
It is Caine from whom we all come.
Our Sire's sire."

Like a fool, I went to the same forest, and recited the same rhyme, which reduced my life to dirt and grime.
Of course, I didn't know this at that time.

I was thrilled to see him: this Fausten, a creature of the Night.
He came to me with all his might, offering me his help, for the small price of my soul.

Ignorant as I was, I didn't see his real goal...Blinded by what could be, the shimmering future, I signed, my soul belonging to Him.

That next few days, passed in a haze. We hunted the unright, the unjust...did what a Vampire and his Childe must...

What passed after that moment and the ages past, I will not tell, though. That is not for you to know.

So there you have it: the story of my rise, and fall.
All that I wanted to say has been said. This is all."

Bowing once more, Mephisto tapped his bowler hat once, twice and thrice: and all of a sudden, with the third tap, he was gone.

Hellwolve spoke up.

Well, there you have it He's quite nice for a Malk, I assure you

*blinks....stares....* Whoa.....I take your word for it!

Well, f**** my sideways, that's been the nicest and well written intro to a vampire I have seen in a long, long time!!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hellwolve In reply to brokenangel [2006-09-18 08:53:02 +0000 UTC]

Good idea Oh, and I forgot to add: "...as long as you don't anger him"; he's prone to killing 'impolite knaves'

He's not my favorite character, Vampire or otherwise, for nothing Unfortunatly, I haven't written him much lately The above was a great chance to flex my writing muscles

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

brokenangel In reply to Hellwolve [2006-09-18 09:52:38 +0000 UTC]

Oy, now then we have a problem, Shadey does have a bit of a temper problem, although lately she isn't even sure she can articulate herself properly anymore, living almost as a hermit can cause such....

you are muchly welcome, I can see why he's yer fav, he's got some wonderfulyl fresh air about him

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hellwolve In reply to brokenangel [2006-09-18 09:57:24 +0000 UTC]

It won't be a problem until we arrange a meeting...Up for some collaborative fiction? I'd like it a lot

He's fresh only figurally speaking Other than that, he IS musty And quirks aplenty, ofcourse
