Well, every other mod before we made a creature, we would draw an existing one. I didn't do too well on the monkey I chose (the Black and White Colobus), so I based a lot of the musculature and bones on this one on Terryl's corrections. Though some of the bone structure is from other creatures. The Snow Leopard gave me the idea for the deeper chest to house larger lungs, and also the larger nasal cavity on the skull. I also wanted it to be a little bit more of a carnivore, so some of the skull structure came from a baboon.
Glad you're enjoying it! I'm taking Liberal Arts mostly this semester. Ancient Art History is probably my most enjoyable class so far.

Yeah, it gets a lot better when you get to draw animals.
The liberal arts are ok, but I'm not a much of a fan of the Perspective Journalism. There's not anything wrong with the class, I just don't like writing much. And the portfolio class I'm taking had the assignment this week of commenting on other people's assignments from last week and critiquing it. Which was a little difficult/irritating since it was a research assignment, and everyone did incredibly thorough work, making it difficult to do. But I think the portfolio class is going to get much better, judging by the future assignments.

I have to say out of all the creature designs you've posted, this one, spider fox, and the tyrant eagle are the best in my opinion. But the blue bears never ceased to make me smile. >u> Would to see a plush of this or something. xD

I like the fur variation on it, but I wish I'd pushed the anatomy more. That's probably why I like the Water Horse best. You can still recognize it as a horse, but it's extremely far away from a regular equid.

Yeah I quite like the water horse, especially the character you made from the species.xD Well, she could always enter in underwater mediterranean horse races if they ever make some during her breaks for searching for atlantis.x3 The Green Oryx though is kinda the most 'distinct' from you creature designs, I like its concept, but that green on it doesn't seem to fit.

I learned recently that rays can jump out of the water quite high... maybe that's her calling. I think my Pantherasaurus is the most distinct of my creatures, though that may be because I dislike the oryx too much to be objective about it. XD
