Didn't Miyamoto retire? I mean he still does appearances and is a producer, but he is no longer a game designer.

Yeah, I belive that nintendo plans it all because: They announce the 3DS, my DSi dies. Now that they have announced the Wii U, my wii died.

The Wii is not dead until they release The Legend of Zelda.
And the DSi can transfer their games to the 3DS so it doesn't matter.

Screw motion control, Nintendo needs to make a regular console that has CONTROLLERS. Motion control should be EXTRA, like Kinnect or Playstation Move.

I thought the Wii U looked weird at first, but the controller looks a lot better in person than it does in pictures. For some reason, every picture of the thing makes it look taller and less wide that what it actually is, which makes it look horrible.
Aside from that, I was kind of disappointed that Nintendo had next to nothing to show for it in terms of actual games. You'd think that with something as controversial as this, they'd bring a fairly large line-up of 1st-party games to ease everyone's minds. The Zelda tech demo was wonderful, though. I think it actually looked better than anything I've seen on a 360 or PS3. Hell, it even looked better than pre-rendered cutscenes, which is saying a lot.

There are WAY too many new games that are awesome coming out between now and winter 2012. People who trade in a DSi for a 3DS also get Four Swords. I still have a DS Lite! GBA!

OMFG I totally didn't realize Nintendo now has 2 gaming systems with 2 screens now until I saw this.
But seriously, I'm pretty interested in the Wii U. Still looks like it's pretty early in its journey though, so I'll wait until it's closer to its release date before I really start freaking out about it, one way or another.
