[ I f I C o u l d . . . ]I've had this idea in my head for like, forever....ever since Cy drew this one emo picture of Hari and Robin, and then I turned it into this whole story....and I wanted to draw a picture for it. But it came out bad. D: Anyway, this is Haruki and Robin (slightly older, which is why her hair is longer). The scan is really grainy, but I think that's because of the paper I used. =/
Soo.....for you, Cy.
Also, this was inspired by two songs: "Everything Changes" by Staind and "Stories" by Trapt.
Also, here's a little scene from my story....it's not the one I want, because I haven't gotten that far yet, but yeah... XP Feel free to skip it. It sort of sucks.
[Story Excerpt]
“So that’s it, then?”
Haruki sighed. Why couldn’t Kineta ever just leave him alone for a change? He turned toward his younger friend reluctantly. “What?”
Kineta’s blue eyes flashed in an uncharacteristic display of anger. “You’re just going to go along with it? Let them get married?” When Haruki remained silent, she stomped her foot. “Robin hates Kaishi, Hari! She’ll never be happy with him! You know that as well as I do!” she snapped.
“She liked him enough to accept his proposal, didn’t she?” Haruki answered. Kineta opened her mouth, preparing to argue again, but he interrupted her. “Look, it was her decision to make, not mine. If she wants to marry an asshole like him, I have no right to stop her. If you don’t like it, you’ll just have to learn to deal with it. But don’t expect me to try to change things.” He realized he’d nearly been shouting and paused, taking a deep breath.
“But you like her, Hari!” Kineta protested.
Haruki stiffened. “Where did you get that idea?” he demanded.
“It’s obvious! Everyone knows you’ve liked Robin for ages! And it’s just as obvious that she likes you, too!” Tears pricked Kineta’s eyes. She reached up and wiped them away impatiently. “Hari, if you told her that, maybe she wouldn’t marry Kaishi. You could stop her! Please,” she added quietly.
Haruki shook his head. “You’re an idiot, Kineta,” he said sharply. “Why would I care about someone like Robin? I already told you; I don’t care if she gets married. It doesn’t matter to me either way. Now leave me alone,” he turned away.
“But Hari-“
He ignored her, except to start walking faster. To his surprise, a short laugh escaped him. It was sad, really, how easily he could pretend not to care. How easy it was to ignore all the memories of their conversations over the past few years, the way they had slowly opened up to each other, the way he had been instantly cheered just by hearing the sound of her voice. He would ignore all of it, and forget it, eventually. It was better not to think of the feelings he’d begun to have, feelings that he’d started to think might be returned.
