After Nezuko's initial and very first session, the therapist recommended that Nezuko keep the microchip on in her daily life, as it improved her motor functions and productivity. Tanjiro is hesitant at first, but the therapist assures him that permanently using the microchip was 100% safe, and that he had tried it with multiple patients before. Nezuko reassures Tanjiro that she wants to do this (She's still under the microchips control, mind you) and tells him that the therapist offered her a job as his assistant, so it would all be fine.

A week after agreeing with the therapist's request, Nezuko is taking some PTO time to herself in a nice, warm beach.
