"B-But..." she sniffles and grabs his thumb with both her little hands, "You look like you need more help than I do daddy...you're hurt." she hears his stomach growl, "And hungry too..." she's worried about him.

He sighs. He hadn't wanted to admit to her that he's in more trouble than she does. He didn't want her to know that he was weaker than she was and wouldn't be able to protect her. "I haven't eaten for three days and my leg is broken. Tammy, do you have any food?"

She shook her head, "No, but..." she pulled out the magical gem from the treasury that's a cure-all. Of course she always got yelled at for taking it out of the tresury, but the gem doesn't cure spells, just injuries nd at least one time for hunger, "I took this before I ran away..."

His eyes widen. He never thought he would have seen that again. "Tammy, do you know how to use that?"

"Err...y-yes?" she thought that might be a bad thing because of his reaction to seeing it.

He notices this by the way her face changed. He calms his excitement and speaks back in his soothing voice. "You're not in trouble, Tammy. Please, I need your help. Use it on me and then we can find some shelter."

She nods meekly, "Ok daddy..." she slowly walked up to him and held the jewel in front of her towards him. She said some weird little chant and he was enveloped in a bluish white light, curing his injuries and his hunger faded. Once he was completely cured the light vanished, but she fell down on her butt feeling tired now.

Though feeling completely invigorated, his worry is for his daughter. "Tammy, are you hurt?" He places his hand down behind her to give her a "wall" to lean on.

She nodded some, "Yes, but using this gem on somebody always makes me so tired and sleepy afterwards. She was unaware that she had to use her own energy to get the gem to work, and the more injuries it has to cure, the more energy it takes.

Knowing full well what the gem does, he sighs. He wishes that it didn't have to come down to taking some of his own daughter's energy, but there appeared to be no other option. "It will be alright now. You can rest. Here..." He sets his hand-like front paw down in front of her. "Let me lift you to my back. You can rest there while I find us some food."

She looks at his hand sleepily and yawned, "Ok daddy..." still holding the gem, she slowly climbed onto his hand and lay on it, holding the gem close to herself as if it was a stuffed animal. "Daddy...are we gonna be able to go back home?" she asked innocently, not really understanding this situation very well.

He lifts her until her body is against the part of his underbelly that's more like a chest. There, he has soft, leather skin rather than scales. "I... I don't know." He answers, not wanting to tell her the horrible truth. He starts walking with three legs since the other one is responsible for holding his daughter.

She lays against his chest and yawns, closing her eyes, "Oh..." She snuggles upon his hand, getting comfortable, "Where are we going daddy?" Even though she still keeps her eyes closed, she was curious about where he was heading.

"We need to find food, water, and shelter. But since I'm a big, dragon, I have a feeling that the only thing big enough to fit me now is a cave."

She's a very optimistic child, and smiles some, "A cave is better than nothing, right daddy? At least we'll have shelter then."

He sighs. "That is true." He can't share the enthusiasm of living in a cave though. The floor would be hard, even if his scales are harder. "I saw a cave before. I think I know where one is."

She yawns a little, "Ok...daddy." She still tired, and she's falling asleep. She cuddles up to him to get more cozy, and soon drifts off.

For the first time since he turned into a dragon, he smiles. He continues through the forest and happens upon another clearing. Peeking into the clearing from between two trees, he discovers deer.
I need to get her food, but can I catch them?
He's still unsure how he will catch the deer, but he can't do it while holding his daughter. He gently sets her down in the grass.

She shivers slightly in her sleep, since her hand was warmer than the grass she was now one, but she didn't wake up. She yawns a little and curls up a little to get warmer and more comfortable.
The deer in the clearing are grazing, and they don't notice his presence yet.

He thinks back to the day he saw the first black dragon. He doesn't want to, because it is the same memory where his father was murdered, but he has no choice. He has to figure out what he can do. He has been told that there are different species of dragon with different abilities, and he has never heard of dragons having the kind of abilities he saw the black dragon doing as it ripped about his father and all his father's trusted knights.
He remembers that sometimes the dragon had turned invisible. That's an ability I'd like to have right now. But how the hell do I turn invisible.
Thinking that just maybe if he focused long enough, he'd be able to do it, but he feels nothing. He closes his eyes. Come on. Turn invisible. Turn invisible, damn it.
He focuses till his head aches from doing so. He felt nothing different, but when he opens his eyes, he can't see his dragon hands any more!

Tameria could get comfortable and finally woke up, but when she did she didn't see her father anywhere. She was unaware that he had turned invisible, and she kept looking around, sounding upset and scared now, "D-Daddy? Where are you, where did you go?"

He flinches when he hears his little girl. Thankfully, the only reaction from the deer is that a few lifted their heads. They're clearly tense, but they haven't run.
He turns around, still invisible and in a hushed voice, he says, "Tammy, I'm here still, but I'm invisible."

"Invisible?" she replies a little quieter, still looking around and trying to remember what that word meant, "I d-don't remember what 'invisible' is daddy..." she looks down, still trying to think of it.

"It means that I can't be seen, even though I'm still here." He lifts his tail so that its tip is right in front of her. "My tail is in front of you. Reach out and you'll feel it."

She reaches out and feels something in front of her, looking intrigued, "Woah...that's cool daddy, but how did you do that? Can you do other tricks?" sounding excited now.

"Maybe, but first I need to catch done food. Please, wait here and stay as silent as you can be."

"Oh...ok." she replies quietly and sits, staying silent and waiting.

Still invisible, he creeps towards the deer. When the deer stop eating and look up, he stops, worried that they see him, but they would just look around and then go back to eating. Once he's close, he slams his hand-like front feet on two of the deer, breaking their spines. The other deer run away immediately.

"...you got them." she shivers some at the sight. To her, all she saw was the deer getting slammed and hit the ground. She looks back down at the ground, trying to play with her hands so she would get her mind off of what she saw, "Good job daddy..."

He focuses on becoming visible again and he becomes visible with the deer under his hands. "Thank you, but we need to make a fire. Let's start collecting sticks for the fire. Do you think you can help me with that?"

"Oh, um..." She moves her hands from her hair and gets up, "Ok daddy, but where do I look?" She hasn't been outside the palace much since she's still so young, but she's quick to learn.

"Look around on the ground and grab some branches low enough for you to reach, but please don't go out further than I can see. There is no telling what could smell the dead deer and come looking."

"Um...ok daddy." She's not sure how far she could go while still being in his sight sight he was a dragon, but she collected sticks and branches she could find while he was still in her view. She figures that if she could see him then he could see her, "How many should I collect?" She has her arms full on small branches.

Raeda: *cautiously approaches the male dragon, even though her instincs tell her to run* Hello?

The black dragon on the other side of the river lifts his head and spots you. The dragon's eyes aren't what you expected. You expect them to have the vertical slits for pupils like a snake's eyes. But the pupils are very human with blue irises. Those eyes seem hopeful and desperate when the dragon hears your voice, but when those eyes spot you, all that hope is dashed away and depression seeps its way in. The dragon lowers his massive head back onto the ground and looks away. You are able to see the ribs in the emaciated dragon and you can figure that it has a broken wing, because on is draped out along the side of the dragon in the grass.

Raeda: *Frowns a little, and gets a chunk of cooked meat out of her bag and sets it in front of him.* That is all I have. I'll go to get more later. But will you let me heal your wing?

He sniffs the meat and is relieved that it's cooked, but he doesn't recognize the meat since it looks different from how his meals were prepared before all this happened. But he's never come across a meat that wasn't good. He starts devouring it quickly.

Raeda had slipped a bit of pain medecine into the meat, and it would numb the broken wing's pain..She takes a step towards him and places a hand on the wing.

The dragon doesn't feel anything.

Raeda takes out a vial and pours it on the dragons wing, healing it instantly.

The dragon starts at his wing with big, wide eyes. He lifts his wing, but everything is completely healed! "How? Was that some kind of magic you used?"

Raeda nods. "kinda. It was a healing elixer. It cures any wound almost instantly.. How does it feel? Did it heal right?"

"I...I don't know. I don't know a thing about dragon wings." He carefully lifts it up, curling it up against his side like the other one and uncurling it repeatedly.

Raeda blinks, and looks confused. "But you're a dragon.. How can you not know about dragon wings?"

"I've only been a dragon for three days. I... I was a human."

Raeda blinks. "You were human? Then how did this happen?"

"I'm not sure, but I've been like this for three days."

"Three days? That's not very long.." She looks over his thin form again. "You're probably still hungry.."

"I'm not hungry as much now. I believe my stomach's shrink."

Raeda points at him. "That.. Is not a good thing. You look like you can barely hold yourself up."
