Honestly the biggest real difference is the coloring used. The lineart itself looks pretty much real.

It is really difficult, I've gone through the same issue many times before settling on the colors I use for Ash now.
Ash looks fine, Misty's you might want to manipulate to match her official color scheme. She is a bit too bright, it seems.
