The title of the picture explains most of it. XDMy chickens are pretty hilarious. They only like to lay eggs in one certain nest box, and it seems like it's occupied at the moment. XD These Buff Orpington Hens are really good egg laying chickens and are really pretty as well!

I have around 15-20 chickens in all. Mostly hens. They provide awesome eggs!

Yeah, that is a good explanation. I can see the chicks actually jumping out and falling onto the floor because the box isnΒ΄t that deep. That shows chickens are actually pretty smart. ^^

Maybe they only like that one nest box because the other one next to it (if that is one) is too small? I don't know, I've never had chickens, so I don't know much about them.

I think it has to do with a security issue, because of the size and depth of the box provides cover for the hens and babies. That might be a good explanation.
