Did you know?

Despite the popularity for storing Game Boy games in DS-style game cases, little is out there for Game Gear titles! Well, no more! Game Gear games do in-fact fit snug inside of an EU Nintendo DS game case. While there may not be a cartridge slot you may instead choose to store the game between the lower clip of the cover in the space a manual would normally occupy. When placed here, the friction of the DS cart slot is enough against the game cartridge when closed that the game will not move loosely in the case nor will any damaged be caused to either of them.

This is a template I am working on in an effort to store Game Gear cases in parity with DS, 3DS, GB, GBC, and GBA collections. This is an early draft though hopefully it is enough to inspire others to make some great cases! I do plan on improving this template to the point of having more options in parity with my Game Boy project efforts.

All banners, blockers, and covers of this template are completely toggleable then revealing the magenta striped background emblematic of Game Gear boxes.

There is still much to do in figuring how to best adapt the style of vertical box art and graphic layouts to that of a more crunched and square form. Expect future updates!
