Not sure why I never decided to show off the fact that I can draw until now, but this is what I have roughly planned for my next larger sculpture. It's been too long since I decided to make a dragon and I wanted to do something that was a bit different yet still reads as dragon, which is tough when there are already so many brilliant concepts out there. I've no doubt that the end sculpture will change as I flesh out the design more, but such is the creative process.

Also I've always liked the old-timey field guide style of creature concepting, like seen in the Spiderwick Chronicles or the Dracopedia series of art books.If I were more adept at doing digital art this would probably look a lot better, but I tried. I prefer working more with old fashioned paper and pencil since it doesn't suddenly crash on me midway through drawing and make me have to start all over because I didn't save... not that I'm implying anything.
