Description
In Greek Mythology...
"Talos was a giant bronze man who guarded the island of Crete by throwing stones at the ships of unwanted visitors. He was most probably created by Hephaestus and given to either Minos or Europa as a gift."

This was a tough illustration. It's hard to feel confident about something you don't know well, and so I had so many questions about how things should look for this time period. How should a Greek pirate ship look? What types of materials did they use? What types of clothes would an ancient Greek sailor wear? And you have to be careful because a lot of renderings of how ancient times looked are contrived from modern times. So I did what I could to get the most authentic look.
