Description This is a fairly simple exercise that asks you to explore options for how dark or light you want your composition to be. I worked quickly on this and didn't put too much effort into it. I ultimately decided that most of the image will be high-key with the shells being low-key (because they're mostly white and I want that to be obvious). That strange little shape in the lid is an anchor I made with rainbow loom bands. I plan to make more to set in the lid that will help break up the space. I drew this from reference photos I took of my still life setup that I'll have on sta.sh at some point so you can see what I'm trying to draw. As with the practice still life from the 4th week, I'm going to have to ad lib shapes, this time in the lower half, to add interest to the composition.

Enjoy!!
