Description
Battles & Duels :This is it! The Forum where Members can arrange challenges, or where Members Apply for Tournaments at BUDOKAI Club! Once you've got your Fan Character settled and submitted you are permitted to join Tournaments or to ask other fan characters for a challenge. One must do so by commenting here. One may insert a comment saying that his/her fan character is looking for a challenge. Whoever wants to accept the challenge replies to that comment. Only first replied gets accepted for the challenge unless the one who offered the challenge declines. The following is an example:
Person1: I'm looking for a challenge! - Long Duel Mode, Power Levels 1-3 accepted! (or battle royale, though one must state which type!)
Person2 replies: I accept!
Person3 replies: I'm up for it!
In the above case Person1 gets to challenge Person2, but if Person1 declines Person2's challenge, Person3 gets to challenge Person1. OR If Person1's pretty brave he/she gets to challenge both!
As this is conducted on an actual forum, this should make it really easy to see who has been accepted or who is still waiting for a challenge. Simply create a thread called, "LOOKING FOR CHALLENGE!" and then put in who you're putting up to fight, the power levels you accept, location and the type of fight, and just wait for someone to reply!
To get to the Forum, go to the bottom of the Rules here.
Power Levels:
Before you get into the actual combat, you need to first determine what your characters power levels are.
To keep from having really powerful fighters dominate everything, we're instituting a power level system.
The Power Levels are as follows:
Level 0
Level 1
Level 2
Level 3
Level 4
Level 5
This translates into the following:
Level 0 = Base level. Can be physically strong, but not as strong as a character that is a Super Saiyan. Can power up to just below that of a weak Super Saiyan/Level 1 power level.
Level 1 = Equivalent of a Super Saiyan's strength. Increased power, speed and strength over that of base level. Can power up to just below that of a weak Super Saiyan 2/Level 2 power level.
Level 2 = Equivalent of a Super Saiyan 2's strength. Increased power, speed and strength over that of a Level 1. Can power up to just below that of a weak Super Saiyan 3/Level 3 power level.
Level 3 = Equivalent of a Super Saiyan 3's strength. Increased power, speed and strength over that of a Level 2. Can power up to just below that of a weak Super Saiyan 4/Level 4 power level.
Level 4 = Equivalent of a Super Saiyan 4's strength. Increased power, speed and strength over that of a Level 3. Can power up to just below that of a weak Super Saiyan 5/Level 5 power level.
Level 5 = Equivalent of a Super Saiyan 5's strength. Increased power, speed and strength over that of a Level 4. Can power up to a max of what would be just below of the nonesxistent Level 6. There is no higher you can go.
Battle and Duel rules:
Yes, there are rules for Battles in this club too. These are:
- There are 2 Battle modes. The Long Duel Mode or the Battle Royale. The Long Duel mode consists of Mutiple submissions which somewhat form a comic of a Battle between 2 opponents, a frame being drawn by each opponents one after another, while the Battle Royale is a duel where the opponents each draw ONE image scene of the battle. Supporters Vote which character should win after both are displayed, which will take place via Club Poll.
- Battles are to begin with Intro's such as opposing stances or taunts.
No Straight forward attack pictures except in the Battle Royale pics. The images can be drawn by either of the opponents or by both. So two Intro Pictures are acceptable. Example: Image1 submitted by person 1: Person1 nods at Person2. Image2 submitted by person2: Person2 nods back at Person1 and gets into his/her battle stance.
- Comics and multiple frame attacks are acceptable
- Both colored and black and white art accepted.
- Background stages are to be chosen by the person who set up the challenge. Example desert, or City or Over water, etc
- Images and attacks must make sense!
- Dodges and blocks are allowed, but don't overdo them, for there won't be much fun.
- No Nudity or sexual related images.
- No drawing deaths of opponents unless the owner asks for it.
- No characters are allowed to turn into Non-existing forms regarding the DBZ-GT Series. (Such as SSJ5 or SSJ6 etc.)
- Please keep the duels themselves in DBZ-GT standard. That is, one-on-one battles, with possibly some non-fighting viewers in the background.
- If an Image attack is Delayed from another by the time of 30 days, then last person to submit an Image attack wins.
- Endless fighting is pointless, so losing is a choice of the artists involved. IE, the fan character's owners. You have to work that out between you and your opponent artist. Be willing to take hits, and lose.
- Both parties must agree to a max power level that you will accept for the battles to go to. The max allowed for a fight is 2 above what your characters start out as, unless both characters start at Power Level 5, in which case there is no higher to go. So if you have a character that can power up to Level 3 at max, and your opponent can go to Level 4, but you both start at Level 2, then both fighters can max out at Level 4.
To submit your duel or Battle Royale, send the club a link to your entry, with the Note subject title of "BR Submission" or "Duel Submission" and the names of the fighters involved.
Example: "Duel Submission - Tank vs Akanma" or "BR Submission - Tank vs Akanma"
The club will then place the updated link to your fight in the proper journal for people to view.
Characters and Duels:
Please note that a member can only use one character at one battle at a time. No character can fight two other characters at the same time, even at a different session. Therefore there is the option of using Alternate characters from which to use to fight with. If one is so eager to fight a different person whilst already fighting with a certain character, one may cancel the fight and start the next one with the desired challenger. To do so, a proper ending must be posted. Please also note again that Characters can NOT Transform into non-exsisting levels, such as the really high Super Saiyan Levels. (SSJ5, SSJ6, etc etc.) Since these levels are not official, people might not like them, and people might argue that there’s some other design for the imaginary SSJ Level.
Tournaments:
Tournaments will be opened when the club will have enough Members and Fan Characters available. An Announcement will be given away straight away when a Tournament's about to be held.
Sagas:
An ongoing event at the Club is our Sagas, which is to help stimulate interest and activity for the club for those who feel they're not getting enough out of it. The current Saga is the Son of Gero Saga, and all Sagas will take place in what are called Art Jams. The rules for all Art Jams will be placed in the main journal for everyone to see.
If there are any questions, feel free to contact the club and ask.
And now...on to the battles!
