Ah man I gotta figure out what info to give for the NPCs huh.
Tom Nook is a Racoon Dog (or just Raccoon in some versions) who has multiple roles throughout the games. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, he works at Resident Services. He gives you your initial home loan, and offers many upgrades as you pay them off.
