BACKGROUND
============

The centipede was out of the bag. They didn't know about her (proto-Ciem) suit. Nor her Zeran teleporters. Nor her sister's online identity as the notorious hacktivist "Sniperbadger."

But they knew Candi was a Phexo, that SCALLOP was curious about her, that she was in possession of a Zeran wardrobe, that she was trying to help officers get the jump on the Pyro Panthers, and that she was last seen leaving the Loffin house. The prosecutor would still want to pursue her on the arson charge, even if that was flimsy. Yet, her confessions were bad enough without that. She'd just royally goofed. And already regretting her earlier sexual tryst with Danny, she felt that she in some odd and ironic way, deserved all this.

Naggle: "Any more unusual surprises for us?"

Candi: "I'm clean. Wallet is in right pocket with cell phone. Keys in left pocket. Nothing in back."

Naggle: "You sure?"

Candi: "If you pat me down, I won't say anything."

Naggle: "Anything in your body cavities?"

Candi: "Other than Danny earlier? No. I'm not a terrorist! I'm just a horny teen with a lot of past relationship trauma, trying to have a good experience for once."

She couldn't believe she'd just confessed to that too; but what choice did she have? They were really pressing her. If this weren't divine justice, what was? This was a bit less literal an interpretation of 1 Corinthians 6:9 than what she remembered hearing in church a while back; but sobering all the same.
