Based on a comic that features an orange-colored cat whose name is 'Mikan', in Japanese means tangerine. He is taken in by Tomu Kusanagi, who nurtures him and discovers that the he can talk, walk, read, and write like a human. He even keeps a picture diary and loves to drink o-sake or Japanese wine
