i'm sorry to say that i kind of fell on my face for this one. i made like 5 drafts before i decided on what scene to draw, being reminded after poring over the 6th book of how much quidditch took place. i forgot how hilarious the majority of the book was, aside from the Horcrux Hunt and Malfoy Obsession. actually... the latter might belong in the amusing part.

This is wonderful!! It reminds me of all the times I've been to Quidditch practice [muggle quidditch woo!!] and after we stand around in big circles laughing and joking around like there isn't a care in the world. Teammates are really the best and so is HP! <3

Oh yeah, Half-Blood Prince. Hilarity, hijinks, hilarious drama, teenager-y hijinks, brief scary moments smothered with more hilarity, sweet fluffy romance, DEATH, HORROR, AND CRUSHING DESPAIR.
That's how the book seemed to go when I read it, anyway.
But I never realized just how much Quidditch there was in it! Now that I think about it, there was probably even more Quidditch in this one than in PoA, which had a whole major symbolic subplot devoted to the game...I need to re-read.

Hm. I've been really enjoying your Harry Potter fanart contributions you've been doing for the past week, especially yesterday's particularly emotionally resonant piece. Still, for some reason this one sticks with me. I love the way you drew Harry's and Ginny's expressions and poses. Adding to that the colors, the rain, the other players, and Ron in the background, this picture is greater than the sum of its parts. It's wonderful.

I love this one! Well, I like all of them, really, but I especially like this one. I love the way the robes just jump out at you with that vivid red/gold coloring, and their facial expressions are great. It's easy to tell that they're all enjoying themselves.
