Beautiful shadow work. I actually didn't notice the left foot thing until you mentioned it. 
(And, yes, I believe they do leave in the summer. In August, I think, because it's after Harry's birthday and on the same day as Bill and Fleur's wedding.)

I'm pretty sure summer runs the same way as christmas - students can go home if they choose. I could be wrong because I last read the books over 4 years ago and watched Order of the Phoenix sometime last October . . . none the less awesome picture! The lighting looks spot on to me. I like the flow of the hair too.

And i don't know if they leave in the summer or not, but i thought i remembered that they chose not to go to school though to search, so maybe hogwarts still goes in the summer, i'm not sure. o_O
