here's the first prompt...
what OLDER sokka and toph get up to when they're alone.
i almost didn't make it in time. yeesh.
when i'm being lazy i color everything the same color.

---i love this one so much, i think kissing is pretty difficult to draw ( oh, how i've tried..)
but you draw it so perfectly. and...the details and lighting in this are fantastic.

I think the only reason I'm so behind this is for every other girl that is interested in Sokka we get so little development of their relationship and interactions. Even Yue (though I did like her) doesn't get so much time to become a seriously influential character.

Ok, I know I gonna be crucified by the people here, but I have a pblm with this pict.
The older Sokka is awesome, he look great, may be a little too much like his dad, but that happen to a lot of boys while they grow up and before they find their own style.
The toph on the other hand... does not look like a toph. Even older, she is to skinny, to svelte, to be toph. Toph is strong from a female perspective. Hell she IS strong even from a male perspective. She is the earth in a girl body. she wouldn't look like a female bodybuilder, for sure, but she would be like a "Xena, the teenager's years", instead we have a girl looking like, either a sweetheart from one of the japaness anime version of "little woman", or like Katara secrete little sister.
In fact the first impression I had looking at the picture was young Hadoka and young Kya kissing.
Don't get me wrong I like your picture, but as far as a Tokka picture, I think you didn't succeded at representing older Toph.
I know it is kind of rude after the shower of rose's petales that was throw at you, but I wouldn't comment/criticize if I didn't like what you did.

ha, i'm not offended in the slightest. i barely draw these characters, so naturally it would take me a while to get the knack of drawing them correctly. i guess i got carried away with how skinny and little toph was as a child. i assumed it was all part of the persona she had. how her appearance threw off who she really was.
you made your point though.
and don't think i don't like constructive criticism! i welcome it!

PERSONALLY I like Toph and Zuko, just because they're the first pairing I saw and for some reason I love them. But I would love Tokka if it weren't for Sukka, which I love (more).
