Description
I have a nasty habit of finding old cartoons that were cancelled without resolution and then getting minor obsessions with them... Today, that was a little spinoff series of Batman Beyond, called The Zeta Project.Zeta is a robot designed to infiltrate and kill, but after discovering that one of his targets is innocent, he decides he doesn't want to hurt anyone anymore, and goes rogue. The government thinks he's been reprogrammed by terrorists to distract them from some other plot, so they're hunting him down to "Fix" him and get him back to killing for their side, and so he winds up on the run, alongside a teenage girl named Ro that helps him escape the agents and also teaches him about humans to help him blend in better using the hologram projector he uses to disguise himself.
The show ended before they proved Zeta was truly reformed on his own and they find his creator (who they spend the majority of the series looking for). But the way they just run around getting into random adventures reminded me of the storyline I have for Snowblast and Cassie, and so thus a crossover of sorts emerged. Zeta and Ro wind up being transported into my TF AU alongside some of the agents (for conflict) and run into Snowy, who promptly recognizes a fellow targeted peaceful robot and takes it into his own hands to protect them as long as they're with him.
The agents can disable robots just fine on their world, but they're not quite prepared for one that's five times their size and can freeze them with a single breath.
The title comes from the fact that while one is alien and the other made by humans, they both are peace-lovers and just want to be left to live their lives without being hunted.
Infiltration Unit Zeta belongs to Warner Bros. (as far as I know, it was made in 2001 so who knows owns the right to it now)
Snowblast and art belong to me.
