I don't know. It is famous for the movies "Where Eagles Dare" and "The sound of music".

Of course "Where Eagles dare" Pffff wonder if you can fit a Focke Angelis in there. And it turns out it was also in "The 10th Kingom" and was refered to as "Snow White memorial Prison" XD

So many dead trees there. Looks a lot like some of the forests here in the mountains close to where I live. Entire mountain sides have turned grey/brown. Bit disconcerting to see its like this half-way around the world too.

There are no dead trees in this picture, they just dropped their leaves in autumn and will green again in the next weeks. I heard of the tree desease in the USA, quite a tragedy. Hope they will find a solution.

Well, the name just says that the castle is the higher part of the village Werfen where it belongs to. Quite unspectacular
