Austria consists mainly of mountains (Alps, which means that the average height above sea level is still increasing) 
And about the photo:
The photo is great. I love the colours, calm yet contrasting. The cold shadows and the warmth of the sun. It fulfills the composition, really, you have multiple points to focus your gaze on and every one of them is as important as the others. I also liked that you put this photograph into the "Resources & Stock Images", many people will definitely use it to get better!

yes it must be gflobal warming, only one meter of snow in moutain. in march temperatur betwen 5 and -19 C. ewerything looks ok. nice photo.
