“Are you alright my dear?” he asked the frightened reindeer.

            “Yeah, aren’t you going to eat me?” she asked fearfully.

            “Eat you? Now that would be a cruel thing to do right after saving someone’s life now wouldn’t it?” her savior laughed.

            “But you’re a wolf too, and my parents have told me stories about them,” Snowflake, still afraid answered.

            “That is true, but I will not hurt you, I promise. I’m one of the good guys, my name is Ezekiel, you may call me Zeke,” the wolf explained.

            “So what are you doing all the way out here? If you’re with the big man in red, you’re quite a far way from home,” Zeke asked.

            “I just needed time to think. I was about to try and see what Christmas surprises might be in store for me this year yesterday. Until Dominic the Christmas donkey stopped me and said that it’s not a good idea to spoil surprises on Christmas. He then said that there’s more to Christmas than what we receive,” Snowflake explained.

            “And right he was; there is far more to Christmas than one might see in a pretty box. Come with me, there is something I think you might like to see,” answered Zeke. He turned towards the path, and swished his tail to let Snowflake know to follow him. She knew now this wolf was safe, so she followed right behind him.
