Description
Constellation had never really liked looking into the future, she was always afraid of what she would see or what she would not see.

It was midday, but the sky was dark with storm clouds. The group of dragons thought this would only be a little rainstorm.

But as she and a few other Nightwings flew away from the Skywing Kingdom, back to the Nightwing Kingdom, she couldn’t help but feel like taking a small glimpse into the future.

“One look won’t hurt, would it?” Constellation thought.

She took a small glimpse into the future. She saw her perspective, flying above the mountains. Rain drizzling on her. She heard a desperate cry from one of the nightwings seemingly taking shelter in a cave. She got distracted and suddenly she was met with a blinding light.

She snapped out of the trance.

“What did that mean? One of the Nightwing’s I’m with are yelling at me from some cave and then a light eats me?” Constellation wondered.
“Whatever it was, it didn’t seem dangerous, maybe a Seawing had their bioluminescent scales on their brightest level and crashed into me.” Constellation shrugged and continued flying.

She was ahead of the others, and was too deep in thought to recognize the flash in the clouds a few Skywing wing-lengths away. The rain poured harder now, they were deep in the storm.

The others however, noticed the flash and flew down, to a cave. Constellation didn’t notice them. The flashes happened more frequent now, and they were getting closer.

“Constellation!” A muffled voice called.
“Constellation!!” The same voice echoed.

Constellation stopped and hovered, trying to figure out where that sound was coming from.

“Constellation! Get down here! Lightning! Lightning!!” The voice screamed.

Constellation whirled her head downwards, where she saw one of the Nightwings was poking their head out of a cave, screaming at her. She suddenly got hit with a wave of deja vu. That Nightwing calling out to her in sheer desperation was familiar to her.

She suddenly got distracted by a glint in the clouds and looked behind her, not to be met by a seawing, but a bolt of lighting, roaring towards her at incredible speeds. Before she knew what was coming at her, she was struck.

“CONSTELLATIIIIIOOOOOONNN!!!!!” The Nightwing screamed at the top of their lungs.

The Nightwing tore through the pouring wet air after Constellation’s limp body falling to the ground quickly. Her wings smoking. The Nightwing managed to get her before she hit the ground and they booked it for the shelter of the cave.

They dropped her on the cave floor. Most of her wing membrane was completely gone, the edges that of the tears were glowing orange-yellow, still being affected by the Lightning’s heat. Thankfully, on the outside, the lighting seemed to have only affected her wings and her eartips. But it was unknown how much damage the lightning did to her internally.

“Quick! Get water so we can cool her body off!” One of the Nightwings roared.

The Nightwing that saved constellation dove towards the lake below with a bucket in his talons. They scooped up the water and flew back to the cave. They stumbled into the cave and shakily dumped the water all over the wounded Nightwing. A loud hissing sound filled the cave as the fire burning on what was left of her wings died out. The burning tips were now black and shriveled.

“We need to get her out of here!” The left Nightwing hissed.

“Not in this weather! If we go out there we’ll get fried like her!” The right Nightwing protested!

“I agree, it’s too risky!” The Nightwing that saved Constellation spat out the bucket.

“When the storm lightens, we’ll head for the nearest outpost, to get her emergency medical help!” The Nightwing said.

“I can’t believe she’s even alive....”

Well, so here! I made a drawing with a story! This time with my Wings of Fire oc! This was actually a redraw of an old piece of artwork I did back in summer 2020, and I have improved A LOT since then. Stupid me failed to post the original at that time.
If you want to see the original and the redraw compared, I posted it on my Reddit account! My user is Bush_Kit and I’m active on r/wingsoffire, r/warriorcats, and r/the8-bitryanreddit so that you’ll know that’s me. Also my icon is a brown character with green hair covering one eye, the eyes are red, and the icon is happy and sticking their tongue out. (I tried to make it look as much as my oc Juniper as possible)

(Sorry about that bad quality if it’s there, I have the same problem on Reddit and Discord and there’s literally nothing I can do about it )
