Brought out of hiding by Hydrogen Bomb tests,Godzilla is one of the more well known kaiju Monarch has discovered,and the most famous.Once theorized to be a species of gorgonopsid,studies show that Godzilla is a species of dinosaur,its just that it evoled mammalian ears for better hearing.Like most kaiju,Godzilla and others of his kind absorb radiation as a sort of food source,but unlike most kaiju,Godzilla is able to use this radiation in its attacks.
Godzilla seems to be at the top of the food chain,with almost no natural predators,being the apex predator in any ecosystem it finds itself in.Its unknown what happened to Godzilla's species and where they are now,but with the exsistance of Godzilla and the other kiaju,humanity now sees where it sits in the food chain.
