Description Here is another head cannon into the many species of the Equestrian world. This section is about Llamas and Alpacas. We have Cha Cha on the left and none of than Paprika the Alpaca. I’m not too hot about Cha Cha’s design, but I had to stay fairly close to her original design.

History:

Not much is known about the Llama and Alpaca narrative, no pony knows how they came to be nor when. As they were on the other side of the world as the pony kingdoms, not much was written down or studied. The only thing they have on the history is old archives, even then it’s very limited. But what they do know is that they live among the Great Western Plains (A.K.A the Undiscovered West). They began here, eventually branching out to neighboring countries. Though they can be found in Equestria and sometimes Yak Yakistan and places like Faradian Shores (where zebras are from), the family trees are very limited in these communities. What’s noticeable about Llamas or Alpacas that reside in pony communities is that they have colorful coats such as Cha Cha’s, which is possibly due to having pony blood within their bloodline. Llamas and Alpacas residing within their homeland typically have more natural coats such as Paprika’s.

Llamas and Alpacas live very close together. You can even see communities of both species living happily together, though it’s less common. Llamas were founded in the Great Plains far before alpacas were. It’s speculated that Alpacas were the result of pony and Llama blood combined, though it’s only a rumor. Never the less they are a very kind and generous group of individuals and often welcome foreigners with open hooves. They never have any known history of war, but they seem to have a disliking towards buffalos. Llamas and Alpacas (like many other species) are matriarchal and have a female for a leader. They don’t involves themselves in war and have never been targets for the many many supervillains as they are not as advanced in technology as say ponies are. Instead they live off the land and worship the earth. They live in an Incan like civilization, with mountains pocketed in the Great Plains.

Differences:

Llamas and Alpacas are very similar. While Llamas are much larger in stature Alpacas are small and compact. Alpacas are much fluffier than Llamas are often rounder and just generally cuter. Llamas have less wool than alpacas and have bigger hooves as they are built to travel and transport items and materials. Alpacas are not as adept for traveling that’s why you often see Llamas outside of their mainland rather than Alpacas. Generally they can be confused for one another, and are very similar. These communities are some of the kindest and warming within the Equestrian world.
