I don't dabble much in Photography besides taking many many many pictures of my child. I am taking a graduate school course and our first assignment was to photograph our version of "the frontier"- the land on the edge of civilization, ready for exploration. This class is much more conceptually based than technically based.

I chose to photograph the area near what used to be my grandmother's house. She had 27 acres of land, most of which was fairly dense forest). As kids, my cousins, sister and I would go exploring through these woods. This was our frontier.
