Slash Fans: Depends on the fan, but mostly loves all the episodes for the slash scenes.
Me: I love the newer episodes, because they are slashier and I have seen the older episodes waaaaayyyy too much XD. They are really lacking on making another Squilliam episode.

I am the second thing, a true fan. Because I find something to like about each episode. Many of them are relatable in some way, have good jokes, get some emotion, they even let the writers do what they like, there's always at least one thing to like about them all.

I agree. Each episode does leave something to be desired. Glad to know there still is true fans who do not just favor old. To be honest I think these people who say they hate the new episodes do watch them. They just make hate posts for popularity because they see others who do.

I love the new episodes, because they have a lot of episodes with strong messages.Β
I am a strong lover of literary fiction, so One Course Meal is actually my favorite episode. I suffer depression, so I was excited to see an episode that dealt with the workings of depression so clearly. It also gives a lot of character development with Plankton and how his mind works. If you think of the episode as a whole, then it is about Plankton being so bullied (Mr Krabs scaring him as Pearl) that he turns to suicide as a last resort. This is very true to how the world works, as people do get bullied and taunted to the point of ending their lives. It was a serious episode that even though there were some jokes, it was not supposed to be taken lightly. It gave off a very strong message, and Plankton is my favorite character, so that's my reasoning for really liking that episode.Β
I actually wanted to rewatch the episodes and depict if they are literary or commercial fiction.Β

I joined a spongebob fan page back in 2012 or somewhere around then,loved the who,loved the fandom,never even sore or cursed then,but for no reason at all when i net on to comment with hat i thought ere my friends they had banned me from the page,and threw insults at me and laughed about it. Oh sorry never thought of it like that...but WW2 is something completely different compared to this true you can never forget the past, but it is called the past for a reason. Same with me too, like I can never forget the bullying that happened in my grammar school years, but the high school years soon replaced those with good memories, even though I don't have any friends really, but all the girls at my school are so stupid it's like I don't what to be their friends. Anyway you do make a strong point with the past.

I agree. Any and all love for SpongeBob goes to pre-movie exclusively 99.9999% of the time while post-movie lies awake at night upset, thinking about how everybody hates it, save for very few & very specific episodes. Other shows that many feel are going through seasonal rot have similar feelings. Nostalgists, stop complaining that the old episodes were better already! It's gotten really old faster then you can say "Stimpy, you eediot!"
