Description I feel really bad because I haven't been active, but the reason I haven't been active is because I've been working on a bunch of bigger projects. Namely, a test animation, to prove I can still do it. I Don't have a whole lot to show quite yet, but I did spend a while making this model, and it's been working pretty well so far.

I love animating in adobe flash, since it's really easy to have a bunch of layers, but I hate drawing in flash since it has really strict and weird rules about how lines and colors work. Conversely, I love drawing in Clip Studio Paint, since it has a ton of variety in how lines can look and move, and it's pretty easy to fix colors if the fill tool isn't cooperating, but I can't figure out how to add layers or keyframes in the animation mode. To remedy these problems, I drew each piece in Clip Studio, exported them all individually as transparent PNGs, then imported them back into flash, de-jpegified them (since they all import as Jpegs, for some reason), then put them all back together. Obviously some pieces that need to make a lot of smaller movements, like the face, hands, and torso, would be too tedious to do this with any time they move, so they were drawn in flash out the gate.

While one day I would love to do a full webseries for my own OCs, to warm up I'm planning to just do a fan animation for a youtube group I like, since there's less pressure to make it "perfect". Unfortunately, even that is a long way off, since I'd need to find time to both finish up the test animations for this rig, finish the models for the other two characters, do test animations for them to ensure their rigs are working properly, storyboard the proper animation, and animate all three of the characters. I have begun work on what I am expecting to be the hardest model to make, which I estimate I have 9% complete. Luckily I can work on the test animations in class, as I don't really need to draw anything new, since the model is already drawn out. I will post the tests as gifs once I have them completed.
