Sad, but true. First finished painting I did this year and it's almost 2010.
I'm a bit rusty. This started out as a doodle for practice, but I continued to finish it. Was a bit sad doing this because I haven't been going through a lot of good lately and this just reminded me how I missed drawing and illustrating.
But this is just the beginning of hopefully lots of more work. Thank-you to everyone who still watches and continues to follow my work! I really appreciate it. <3

its a very pretty piece, and i know as well as most what a 'bad' patch can do to your creativity.. i'm manic depressive and even tho drawing could help me.. when i'm bad i cant do it and when i'm hypo i cant either!

Well, it certainly isn't blatantly obvious that you're rusty even after a year! Hopefully you'll at least be able to squeeze in more doodles even with all the hectic issues going on. I hope you'll have a positive update for us next time! <3

looks great, specially the discreet detailof the dress

I think what I find most interesting about this picture is that the style of dress, her face and her figure all have a youthful look to them, but her stern expression, and large breasts make her look more mature, which is emphasised by the morbidity of the colours. (The almost completely grey shadows are a nice touch)
It's also a very well composed image.
