Description
This picture was done for this current's theme at the illustration blog I post at~ [link] I chose the theme this time around and I wanted to do fairytale and folktales. The point of it was just interpret the story however you want~ I might do another one for this theme if I'm still motivated to paint. I've been lazy lately. I almost didn't finish this, but only reason I did because I wanted to avoid finishing another picture. :SEDIT: Yah it's a bit sloppy, but I've been really unmotivated lately. :/ So I got lazy.
Done in Painter IX and Photoshop CS2

I really like the way it came out; it's like... mixed media, somehow; as if you're mixing vectors with airbrushing or somesuch. Anyhow, I just love the effect, and so I am going to fave it. God bless you and give you good tidings.

This piece is great! It sort of reminds me of Odin Sphere because of the story book-ish style, the big sweeping backgrounds, and the use of dark colors.
