The scan of this image doesn't really do it justice as i had to scan it in really dark for all of the detail to show up.The pic was done in 4H and 2H pencil..
Any suggestions on improvement i would be grateful for, especially techniques for hair..

...wow... how did you do his HAIR? That is jsut amazing!! .... I'm so bad at drawing hair.... I love that fact that you darkened it. It looks like you used pen or india ink instead of pencil. Really a wonderful image, especially for your first one posted. Just stunning! =^_^=

this is so cool i like the detail on the hair especially, makes me wish i practiced more so i could be better at drawing ppl, i do have some humans on my gallery, but most of it consists of animals and anime, oh well, theres always more room

Wonderful choice for your first submission, seeing as it is very lovely!
I am enjoying the way that you have done the hair...it is very shiny and flowing, and almost touchable. But I must say that my favorite part of the piece are the eyes, nose, and mouth. I don't really know why, but they are just so well shaded.
