Howdy, ya'll. I was looking through some old files and this is something I'd made OVER TWO YEARS AGO but never posted. (I'm usually never that patient about posts! I don't know how I forgot about it. Basically, I was (and still am!) in love with Steven Universe and wanted to translate it into Basmi. Because I'm a huge nerd.

So, here are a few notes:

1. The Crystal Gems are called the Dassïsouîs (das-swee-su-ee).Which meant something like "Sweet Crystals" or something weird.
2. If everything is vaguely French sound/looking, it's supposed to be. (Ex. the S's at the end of "Dassïsouîs" and "Canis" are silent in most cases.)
3. Rose Quartz = Lauj Cöç (Loj Kwots). Basically a "Frenchified" Rose Quartz.
4. Greg turns into "Clay". Which is kind of more symbolic than my original thought processes. It was just a matter of phonotactics at the time.

I THINK I ended up not posting it because I have a hard time making final decisions when it comes to conlanging and I was contemplating designing the Basmi alphabet again (and it IS an alphabet. It just looks like a cute syllabary). I still want to. I'm gonna work on it today. I've also changed a few words since I made this. For example, "Dassïsouîs" is now "komille sengwi" ("komille sengwi" in the singular).
