Okeedokee! So what perverse pleasure can I give you people today?
Well a shirtless Pur is a good start!
"But wtf is up?! What's wrong with him?!" I hear you ask? Well here's the scoop;

In an unwritten Fic Pur and Red were up on the bridge of the Massive doing their thang, namely Pur was annoying Red about some random thing. Eventually Red tells Pur to stop being a pain and starts to tell him off. Well with his back to the cock-pit view (i think that's what you call it. the big sheet of glass-like-stuff) So Pur obviously had a view of the ...uhm...view of space behind Red while his twin went off on a tangent.
Now with Red going on and on Pur didn't feel like paying much attention so he kinda stared blankly ahead over Red's shoulder waiting for him to finish.
Well staring off into space was a very good thing indeed cuz Pur spotted an approaching ship. Purple knows his ships and could tell from it's maneuvering it wasn't trying to make friends. What's more the wing design and over-all design was Vortian in nature and the only Vort ships still in use were those used by the resisty.
Red, noticing his lack of response to the conversation asks him if he's even listening. Pur, obviously wasn't.
He was staring at the unknown ship and noticed a small light that suddenly blinked on near it's front. Realizing what was going to follow next Pur grabbed Red by the arm and threw them both to the floor screaming 'Exhale!!'
A plasma blast from the enemy ship tore through the bridge via the cockpit sending an explosion of glass everywhere.
Thanx to the Massive's emergency response system the vacuum was sealed almost immediately by the same material Zim used on his door so that he could see through it.
Well 4 tech-officers were killed by the blast and vacuum created by the gaping hole and 7 more were injured.
'But what about The tallest?!" You scream?
Well, as they were standing exactly where the blast ripped through the ship they would've been killed for sure if Pur hadn't spotted the ship. However because of the way Pur had grabbed hold of Red and tossed them both to floor he had ended up shielding Red (whether this was intentional or not is debatable) Meaning Red came off unscathed but Pur got himself cut up by the shrapnel.
luckily because of his armor Pur wasn't turned into mincemeat. (You'll notice it's only his face and upper arm that's hurt.) So he escaped with a sliced face and arm and a painful concussion due to a piece of metal crushing his head. luckily it wasn't too bad but it damaged his eye...badly...

So here's Pur recuperating in his private chambers afterwards. He's very depressed because none of the on-board medics can tell him how much of his eye-sight is permanently damaged. At the moment (this is a few hours later) he's lost between 78 and 95% of his vision in his left eye so he's really not very happy.

Red was very unpleasant to live with for a while after that as the attacking ship retreated after it's attack and got away. Red was on a warpath to capture and destroy them but became more and more frustrated that they couldn't be found. he claimed they needed to be punished for the audacity of attack the massive but we all know the real reason he was so mad don't we?
But he had bigger problems than a wild goose-chase, namely Pur's extreme depression that followed afterwards.

And just to extend this already massive description:

Red eyed his brother who looked somewhere between the sad and regal emperor he was and an empty shell. It scared him.
"We were lucky you know." He said although who we was trying to convince was unclear.
Pur scoffed half-heartedly. "Lucky?" he turned to face His comrade, his now one-violet and one milky-grey eye flared up. "We were caught completely off guard but some-one as pathetic as The Resisty! Our ship is a wreck, we lost more than a few good men, were humiliated as the supreme rulers of supposedly the greatest empire in the galaxy and quite frankly had our asses handed to us on a plate! Lucky isn't exactly the word I had in mind!"
He sagged after this outburst and resumed his brooding more vigorously than before.
His fellow Tallest continued his unnerving Ruby-stare for a few minutes more before finally saying. "We're alive aren't we?"
Pur laughed. "Yeah that is something!"
He smiled for a few minutes.
"that is something..."

I absolutely adore the way Pur looks here. He's so sad and contemplative, A combination you don't often see in Pur. Also I think his sense of presence is wonderful. Ok I'm done blowing my own horn.
