I don't think so
Since monsters are mostly made of magic, any nicks and cuts can be fixed with basic healing spells. And because Snowdin is a very small village, if someone gets sick they can pull together to help out.
If something very serious happens, New Home is a boat ride away so they can call if they need help.
That's what I think at least.
