Description “You fool! I’ve been trained in your Jedi arts, by Count Dooku. Attack.” - Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (May 19th, 2005)

(LORE)
General Grievous is the Supreme Commander of the Seperatists’ droid army, which fought during the massive, intergalactic Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic. Grievous is a cyborg; a twisted mash of his original, Kaleesh body and cutting-edge Separatist cybernetics, putting himself a cut above his pathetic battle droids whom he led into battle. Yet these upgrades do have its downsides; his massive, metal body weighs down considerably on his back, arching it and the upgrade process severely damaged his lungs, creating his signature bad cough. Grievous is not in tune with the Force, but was trained by Count Dooku in the art of lightsaber combat and his durasteel body protects him from most lightsaber blows and conventional blaster fire.

In 19 BBY, following sustained setbacks across multiple worlds, Grievous makes a daring assault on the Republic capital of Coruscant and captures Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. Beaten by Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, who also managed to rescue the Chancellor, the latter faces off against Grievous again on the Seperatist stronghold of Utapau. Although almost near killing his “arch nemesis”, Grievous’ blinding ferocity would spell his end when Obi-Wan used Grievous’ own blaster to fire at his exposed organs and internal wiring, violently blowing up the general who instantly died.

(PERSONAL THOUGHTS)
Hello there. I’m back with another Star Wars illustration and this time, this time it came out really good. Like I thought my Vader illustration was great, this is like fantastic in comparison; the attention to detail I did really sells this portrait as being almost like official art from the films rather than some crude fan-art like my older Star Wars illustrations.

Oh Grievous, you were done dirty by Revenge of the Sith; all it took was the power of hindsight (Filoni’s The Clone Wars) and now you’re one of the better Star Wars villains; maybe above Kylo Ren but not as good as Darth Vader (or the Emperor) and probably somewhere along with the other prequel villains like Dooku, Maul, Ventress in the middle (sorry Kylo, there’s always one loser in the tier list haha).

This illustration is purely fan art; any and all credit belongs with the original creator(s) at Lucasfilm and the Walt Disney Corporation.
