Description List of characters (clockwise from top-left): Theodora / The Wicked Witch of the West (Oz: TG&P), Mike Wazowski, Shrek, Yoda, She-Hulk & Sil (Species).

(DESCRIPTION πŸ“–)
Green is the colour between cyan and yellow in the visible light spectrum. In the RGB colour model, red and blue is used to create green and is a secondary colour in the CMYK colour model. The chemical chlorophyll is green in colour as it reacts to the Sun’s light energy, converting it into chemical energy through photosynthesis, resulting in Earth’s predominantly green plant life.

As such, green is associated with life, nature, health and hope. Green is also a cultural colour; Gaelic countries like Ireland represent themselves with green whilst Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia use green to represent Paradise, the lush garden depicted in the Quran. Like all colours, green also carries some negative attributes as well, such as it being the colour of greed, toxicity and envy, which was primarily developed during the 20th and 21st century with the onset of late-stage capitalism and the development and usage of nuclear power.Β

(PERSONAL THOUGHTS πŸ’)
I’ve finally made it to green baby, only a few months removed from the challenge still being relevant or worked on by other creators on this site (better late than never?).

The cast of characters on here is a fair bit more interesting than what I’ve previously done, although I know some of you will point some of the obvious heavy hitters that I’m missing such as Green Lantern or Master Chief. It’s also more gender balanced than previous illustrations, now split three ways between male and female characters rather than majority male with two female characters as to not to make it a complete sausage party (or robo-party, considering the different robots I’ve done for this challenge).

This illustration is purely fan art; any and all credit belongs with the original creator(s) at the Walt Disney Corporation, Marvel Entertainment, Lucasfilm Ltd., Dreamworks Animation, Universal Studios, Roth Films & MGM Films.
