(LORE 📖)
Alironda and Vera / V.I.R.A are two of Ethan’s closest friends and closest romantic interests whom he has been torn over since before and during the Hunt for Fermi. The two girls are, personality wise, polar opposites of each other; Alironda is a cool-headed, spunky and flirtatious young Plejaren woman who places loyalty and respect above all else whilst Vera / V.I.R.A is an intelligent, beautiful yet quirky cybernetic intelligence (CI) program, who seeks to understand her humanity as she drifts away from her core programming.

Alironda and Ethan have been good friends since at least 2198, with the former appreciating Ethan’s polite and mischievous personality whilst the latter was enamoured by Alironda due to her headstrong yet playful personality and her attractiveness as one of the few alien woman on Luna. When Fermi attacks Luna in 2200, Ethan saves Alironda from Fermi’s legions of Mu, causing the former to blame herself for nearly getting herself, Ethan and Vice Consul Abbott Orion killed. Ethan and Orion reassures Ali that it’s not her fault, thus placating and intriguing Ali into the possibility of becoming something more between herself and Ethan. Ethan would build a rapport with Ali, although Ethan would eventually begin to grow doubts as he fears that he will “fumble” Alironda because of his natural introverted nature (secretly also his diagnosis as an autistic man)

Ethan’s compassionate nature and kindness touch the “heart” of V.I.R.A, who joined the Nebula following her rescue on Epsilon Prime, causing V.I.R.A to fall deeply in love with Ethan. At the same time, Ethan becomes attracted to V.I.R.A due to their shared personal connections in the past, their interest in art, philosophy and science and his secret “interest” (or kink) towards female robots, although this is a point of personal embarrassment in Ethan’s mind. Throughout the Hunt for Fermi, Ethan and V.I.R.A would deepen their interest in each other, even as doubts began to arise between the two such as Ethan’s feelings of not being “not good enough” for her and V.I.R.A’s longing for humanity (including acquiring a human body) being at odds with her “core programming”.

With both Alironda and V.I.R.A (later Vera) being wooed by Ethan, ultimately decisions will have to be made by Ethan to choose between either the former, someone who has been there since the very beginning, or the latter, a new best friend of Ethan’s who has personal connections to the past and speaks to Ethan’s soul as a kindred spirit.

(PERSONAL THOUGHTS 💭)
G’day y’all. Semester One is finally over (well actually it’s been over for a few days but semantics aside) and with a week of free time before placements, I decided to get on top and make a couple of artworks (most of which I’ve already published), including this, uh, “illustrative” artwork depicting my two OCs, Alironda and Vera, in a “submissive” state of being.

Now, this artwork is conceptually very simple so there’s not really much to critique; it was inspired by an Instagram post from art_tips_hub which had a chibi character with their head held in the hands of someone. Of course, as a base model, I changed it around to instead depict Ethan Bradbury, my main OC, holding Ali and Vera’s heads in his hands. I guess the one thing I could critique is the simplistic bodies both Alironda and Vera have, as realistically I should have depicted their upper shoulders and cleavage but I never did so it ends up as barebones and incomplete at worst.

However, The colour combo is what I love the most about in this artwork; the contrast between the romantic pinks of Vera with the sexual purple/violet of Alironda, which combined with their obvious facial expressions, aid in describing to the audience, the character of these two ladies more so than any short story I could write about them. Pink and violet are associated best with a particular orientation which could describe the sexual stance of either one of these characters (but that’s up to you to figure out). Also definitely love the anime/manga inspiration here for this artwork, even if it also unfortunately plays into the mainstream stereotype of those two mediums being just for “pron addicts”.
