Description “I may process moments and thoughts differently, but it does not mean that I feel any less than you [Omega]”

Tech is the name of a talkative, hyper intelligent young clone commando who serves as the engineer of Clone Force 99, known to the wider galaxy as “the Bad Batch”. His specialised genetic modifications, chosen by birth, allow him to devise schemes, solve logic puzzles and fix technological issues at lightning speed. However, his logical mind often torches the emotions of his fellow squad members like Omega, a young female clone who provides emotional clarity to Tech and the rest of the squad. This clarity, of allowing compassion and love to factor into his new life as a mercenary, was the leading motivator behind his sacrifice on Eriadu, allowing his brothers and cherished sister to escape from the tyrannical talons of the Empire.

And to spice things up for Autism April, here is my illustration of the best clone of Clone Force 99, Tech. I’ve always had a soft spot for Tech in Clone Wars and its strange that Season 1 of Bad Batch never dedicated time to highlight the different members of the Batch, especially Tech who competed with Echo for the role of the “tech guy”. It was only until Season 2 that he truly shined as a character, especially “The Crossing” (15/3/23), which features a lovely scene between him and Omega where they discuss their feelings and basically slips loose that he’s autistic (he definitely has Asperger’s). And then he dies at the end of Season 2, which is sad and frustrating as it was clearly done to solve the “tech guy” issue by eliminating Tech and giving it to Echo. Anyways I love how this illustration has turned out, it’s easily the best one I’ve done this whole month. But who knows we’re only half way through April.
