It is connected to a complex network of machines and computers. Incredibly powerful processors and artificial intelligences accomplish what science has never dared to dream of: This apparatus is no longer just an ordinary timekeeping device, but a portal to different time periods and dimensions. Initial attempts to send objects a short span into the future were successful.

Elen's excitement is palpable as he activates the device for the first time with full energy. Blue and white luminous force fields build up around the chronometer, a sudden hiss and the humming of the machines create a cacophony of sounds that is almost unbearable.
