The picture looks well crafted. The lines are smooth and the shading looks good. I would like to praise you for the color sheme, but I acnowledge this mermaid from a kid's show so that part isn't really your work. This also hinders me from giving you a high 'originality' rating. Also I think the fishtail end gets slightly to narrow, since the two small fins probably couldn't move her body. The pose makes the impact stronger since it does seem very playfull. The simplicity doesn't allow a lot of impact so you did a fairly good job at showing the character.
