Heh, yeah. In the comics, the first Robotnik was destroyed thanks to Snively sabotaging a Doomsday device. Snively thought he was finally free from Robotnik's tyranny, but the new Robotnik came from another, parallel dimension and took over the old Robotnik's work. Poor Snively.
