Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the final art trade I have done with DandyAndy1989 for the 2010's decade. And here's hoping the upcoming decade will be full of more pleasant art trades and requests than the last one for all of us.

Anyway, what Andy wanted for my half of the trade was a concept sheet for a fan character we made for the hit Nick Jr. series: Abby Hatcher. For those unaware for the show, it's kinda like Pokemon but replacing the battles with cuddly adventures. Abby lives in a hotel and Fuzzly creatures that live inside it are already getting themselves into trouble, so Abby sets out to save them with only her suped up gadget watch, her array of gizmos like x-ray glasses and spring shoes, a series of secret doors placed all over the hotel, a super trike and her sidekick, Bozzly: a blue rabbit looking Fuzzly. Making her Abby Hatcher: Fuzzly Catcher.

And what me and Andy came up with a few months ago was a foil character that would go against Abby. Because we both noticed that a lot of Nick Jr shows nowadays have villain characters that kinda act like evil counterparts of the main characters.

Paw Patrol has Mayor Humdinger and the Kitten Catastrophe Crew.

Rusty Rivets has Franky Fritz.

Shimmer and Shine has Zeta.

Even Butterbean's Cafe has Marmalady.

So we made a character that would work the same for Abby. Thus creating Katie Sweeper: Fuzzly Keeper.

The logic was to take Abby's normal personality and find a good angle a counterpart can have. And Abby's whole schtick with the Fuzzlies is that she doesn't just save them, she takes good care of them. She makes sure they're clean, well fed, tend to their boo boos. Thus giving the idea of Katie to be the sort of brat that hugs animals too hard and treats them less like pets and more like toys for her to play rough with.

She's basically a mix of The Rugrats' Angelica and The Tiny Toons' Elmyra.

Oh, and while Abby has her trike, Katie has a little go-kart looking thing that has tons of trapping gadgets like vacuum tubes, net cannons, grabby hands and glass cages, as seen in the bottom right corner catching some of the actual Fuzzlys from the show. Namely Otis, Princess Flug, Grumbles and The Peepers (For those of you outside of the show: yes, those are actually their names).
