Oh hey look another update, also also known as why Cade stops posting and replying to stuff on dA, but at least it's the last one for now that I need to worry about =w=;
SO this was the update that I was just dying to do for a few reaons, but mainly because my eyes burned whenever I came back to look at her app art because jfc it was terrible. So yeah let's just through that out of here now.
So yeah reworked her personality a bit, made sure to touch up on some new things, reevaluated her sexuality, added her mum and da because the rest of the fam is too big, and of course new art.
I'll be honest Maya started off as a character that was just for funzies but after a while I've begun to treat her as more than that so yeah gonna show me forggy some attention.

Though at first she may not seem like it, Maya is rather loyal towards those she at least considers friend, holding them above others and making sure to pay time around them when viable. While at times her loyalty could be questioned given her attitude, she's yet to go back on her words if she happenes to make a promise to someone, eventually getting around to fulfilling it. Granted, she has shown to detract her loyalty from those who've lost her frienship, showing little hesitance at the thought of leaving them behind.

Being a very "chill and be chill" person at heart, Maya isn't exactly one to simply get up and go, nor is she one to fret over what others may perceive to be a dangerous situation. In fact, the girl seems to be more inclined to simply wave things off as less than what they truly are, keeping calm in situations until her focus has been lost. While this does not happen all too often, it has occurred before, turning her into a more sullen and vulnerable person rather than her normal self.

A humor loving girl and joker, Maya isn't one to shy away from cracking jokes or using her words to make a witty response here and there, and if anything she's shown to be rather adept at this. Many of her jokes tend to be rather harmless, mainly using song lyrics to get her point across when teasing those in love, using puns of all kinds on others, and of course dropping a few anime jokes here and there around those who'll actually understand them.

Rarely ever one to be of the serious type unless absolutely necessary, Maya can often be one to talk back others with a bit of sass in her tone and a nonchalant feeling in her choice of words. Her sarcastic demeanor however isn't biased, as she's shown to show everyone a substantial amount of gleeful defiance or constantly push at their button. That being said, she does show to lighten up on the way she treats others the closer they are to her, but that won't stop her from continuing to talk to them in a snarky tone.

In all honesty, Maya can be a rather immature and childish person, especially when confronting authority. Often groaning about being told to do, running off without alerting anyone, or even bickering with others, the girl shows to truly be a child at heart from time to time which can become rather annoying after a while. Of course, this isn't to say she can't be a mature you ng adult, but rather finds it to be droll and boring seeing how she could just go about things in a fun and sometimes distracting manner.

While she does genuinely care for others, Maya has an extremely hard time showing true empathy for the feelings of anyone in all honesty. While she knows that this is a problem that could be fixed, she can't seem to find a way to mend her flaw in the slightest. She simply can't seem to figure out how to put herself in the place of others and attempting to feel the same emotions without feeling awkward and out of place, as though she isn't being herself. Perhaps this is why she has terrible luck with giving emotional advice.

Rather self-explanatory, Maya will flirt with anyone at least once unless they've already lost her attention, and she most definitely isn't afraid to go beyond what verbal or even physical boundaries others may set up at least once, only going through with it again if they gave consent the last time or simply don't mind. That isn't to say she's completely flirtatious, as she tends to give a slew of compliments to those she finds attractive, but if you catch her attention, expect to find her attempting to whoo you at given opportunities.

One thing to note about this Toxicroak is just how much she enjoys making lude comments and getting rather touchy-feely with others, finding satisfaction with the way bodies of others both look and feel. Her perverted antics can be subtle to rather direct, and if someone happens to not mind her getting rather grabby, or even shows enjoyment in her doing so, then she may attempt to take things a bit further, but not too far. Again, the girl is surprisling for the idea of getting consent first.

Normally seen as a negative trait, Maya can be rather blunt in both a positive and negative way, telling things the way they are rather than even attempting to sugar coat it. In a way, the girl's simply being honest...brutally honest to say the least. She's not afraid to tell others that they've screwed up or how badly they screwed, nor is she afraid to shorten complex explantions into simple, easy to explain ones. Granted her bluntness also seems to arise when speaking of her sexual preference and what she may like about someone, personality wise or physically wise.

Though the girl can be relaxed, when she actually becomes excited about something she won't hesitate to indulge in it, showing an energetic side that takes a bit to supress. This of course can lead to Maya becoming rather...blind to her surroundings, focused on a single thing rather than the surrounding environment and thus taking a more risky route on going about tasks. While it can be a good thing at times, her risks are still, well, risks and thus can make her prone to something dangerous conspiring.

History:
It was a dark, storming night when the young Croagunk, her light blues skin and pink poison sacs shining, was brought into the world and loving care of both her mother, a Toxicroak who'd been swoon by the love of her life, and a Lucario who'd never thought he'd be a father one day. Yes, things seemed fine....until of course the Croagunk spat out a Poison Sting attack at her father's chest. Being a steel type, the attack was rather ineffective, however the fact that his newborn daughter had the guts to attack him at birth, whether unknowingly or willfully, did concern him. The girl's mother however saw it as humorous, and thus named the little frog Maya, meaning illusion.

From that day on, Maya grew from a small, babbling baby that occasionally tormented her father by "attacking" him, to a young girl that honestly didn't know what she wanted to do. However, that was before her mother introduced her to the long standing tradition that all women of the Shidou family, her mother's last name and the name adopted by her father upon marriage, followed; the way of the Kunoichi. At first, Maya was a bit unsure about becoming a female ninja, mainly due to the amount of hard work and dedication that she'd have to put into it, but after a few months, it grew on her.

Sadly her father ended up being the one to test her fighting abilities, changing up her tactics to stealth attacks from behind and above. At first, things were easily controlled, but as the girl grew older, not to mention taller...things started to get out of hand. She was "too big" for these types of things in her father's eyes, and thus began to forbid her from following the path of ninjitsu. This highly displeased Maya's mother, as it was tradition. The fact that her husband was challenging the thing they lived by the most caused the once happily married couple to start fighting, and in it all, Maya was always caught in the crossfire. Whether it be from her practicing with her mother outside, or the occasional testing of new techniques in the house, Maya's father always seemed to catch her.

And so came the day when an agreement between the two parents was made. Maya would postpone her training to become a Shidou Kunoichi and actually study for her father's sake. Now, Maya for one honestly was against this plan for two reasons. One, she loved being able to call herself a ninja around her friends, and knowing her father, she knew good and well that his idea of studying meant being shipped off to some forsaken school. After all, that's what his parents did to him. The other reason however was due to Maya not wanting to really focus on things like school. She knew she was intelligent. She knew she could make good grades. The thing was, she knew she didn't want to be sent off to a school unless it challenged her. Thus, her father brought up St. Mortiel, stating that the academy would put the now young Toxicroak through her paces. With this knowledge in mind, she began to pack for her new journey, one that would either bore her completely, or bring her to a new stepping stone in life.

During her time spent at the academy, Maya has gone through only a few changes, keeping her relaxed demeanor and facing only a few different trials along the way. Granted she had felt the sting of heartbreak, but if she's over that yet is questionable, and it's doubtful as to if she'll tell anyone.
